Some of you may already know the story of my uncle, but I am guessing that most of you don’t.
In short, my uncle Clint was attacked in his home a few years ago and has since been left blind and deaf, and requires 24 hour care. You can read the full story here.
If you know me at all, you’ll know that I love my family more than anything. Watching my cousins and aunt go through this ordeal has been harrowing, and at times I feel helpless. They are all so strong, it blows my mind how much they have to cope with, yet they are all still their sunny; shiny; happy selves.
So when an opportunity arises to help, I jump in. Good friends of ours – Mark and Dwayne – have organised a Crossfit charity event on the 24th of August and I am super excited to be involved.
You can read all about the event here – we would love to see everyone there.
The Counter will be selling gourmet bacon grilled cheese sammiches to satisfy hungry breakfast tummies. All the cash we take in will be given to the Kerrs and go towards Clint’s care.
